These are just some pictures I've taken in the last few days of some neat flowers/plants you'll see in Murrieta.
This is an interesting one... Not a normal plant for sure, it seems to be some sort of illness or virus that has twisted these plant leaves into weird shapes, this one particularly caught my eye. Was taken in French Valley east of SR 79. This is a common one you see, just not so big they are usually smaller and more lavender (the wild ones). Also taken east of SR 79.
Went to a friends house and thought that some of their plants and fruit trees might make good pictures. So here's what I got: These trees with white flowers are very common around here, right now (mid Febuary) they are in full bloom. Common fruit tree to grow around here, most common in orchards.
Only about 15 minutes on the freeway and about 40 mintures on the road you can reach Volcan Mountain from Murrieta. The ride there is just as scenic as the trails themselves.
Sign you see right before you reach the trails leading up the mountain. Shot of the valley down below once you get to the top.
My name is Steven, I’ve been living in Murrieta 18 years, so I’ve seen it grow quite a bit! I love photography but am still very much an amateur so I’ve set up this blog to do some practicing! For those that are curious, I use a Canon PowerShot A2000 IS (6x zoom), nothing fancy but does a good job ^_^. I also do some photo editing with Adobe Photoshop CS3, but no major changes.
All the time I’ve lived here I’ve loved it, and never really got why some were so bored in this town. My favorite thing is that this town has some areas that are more urbanized while there are still many areas with open space. I enjoy taking pictures of the latter and quite often take my dog along as well, so he might pop up every now and then.
If you have pictures of Murrieta or places around Murrieta and would like to share them here please feel free to do so! Pictures have to be at least 500 pixels wide (width or height) and have to be good quality.
Pictures without people are prefered but there can be some exceptions. Note that not all pictures submitted may be posted.
You can send your pictures to this email address: jr_lee_7710@hotmail.com with the Subject titled "Photo Submission".
Thank you!
